For leftovers, the kicker for me is the dishes. I like the fact that I can heat and eat or store and heat out of the same dish. That saves dish washing time. (I don't like microwave popcorn because of all the chemicals and such. Homemade is so much better and healthier.)

Hope it continues to work for you! We are a somewhat eclectic CM family and it has worked beautifully for us. We tried Classical and Sonlight but they just didn't feel like "us" the way the CM method does.

If you haven't watched them, the SCM how-to dvd set is excellent too!

I don't think your crazy! We have a microwave but I don't use it. My husband does. He thinks I am crazy when he heats up something and I say I am not eating that! We also LOVE popcorn so we have an air popper and a theater style popper in our movie room. I use coconut oil to pop the corn. Then sometimes I will use butter flavored grapeseed oil on the popcorn for flavoring.
Your new site looks great (I have not been by here in a long time).
Keep up the good work! PS: I would love to have a puppy lol!

I am a former elementary school teacher rather than a homeschooler, and I love the idea of using the internet to teach a subject. There is also an internet assessment website that a lot of local schools in our area are using that might be good for homeschoolers as well. It is called www.qwizzysworld.com, and it's unique in that it does not contain a premade bank of questions and answers. You can custom design quizzes and practice sheets using whatever material you are using to teach. There is also a feature that allows you to share materials you have created with other site users, so it could really help strengthen a homeschooling community! Might be something you would like to check out!
