Reading For The New Year

in Books

I am normally not one for making new year’s resolutions but this year I have decided to make one.  I came across a book list over at  Practical Pages Blog and I decided to make reading some of them my resolution for the new year.

I went to amazon.com and read excerpts from most of them.  There were two that immediately grabbed hold of my attention and I wanted to read more of.  Those were the two I ordered and I am awaiting their arrival.

For the Children’s Sake

By Susan Schaeffer Macaulay

Heartfelt Discipline

By Clay Clarkson

I am very excited to start reading these books.  I will update weekly once I’ve received the books and dive into reading them.

My prayer is that these books will give me a fresh, new outlook on my homeschool and family life.  I am literately counting the days until they arrive.

Once finished with these two I plan on reading more from the book list throughout the year.

Does anyone else have any resolutions for the new year?  If so, please share them.

For the Children’s Sake is my favourite homeschooling book. Hope you enjoy it and are as inspired as we were!\

Must check out the other. Thanks!
